    Cam timing

I'm currently timing the cam, using a digital dti gauge. Some say to measure from inlet 7 some say 2, so i've tried them both and got 2 degrees difference. Why would it be different? I am correct thinking a bent pushrod or something could give different results, or are cams lobes not perfectly matched?

    Re: Cam timing

Did you measure a matching peak opening, but over by 2° ?

I would have thought a bent push rod would give a lower opening but the same ° for the peak opening. And less duration.

Measured the dwell point at max lift. started at 111° on both. Average of 3 measurements from inlet 2, 117.5° inlet 7, 115.5°
