    Hillclimbing R5 GTT from Denmark

Hi Guys Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is is Dennis. I am from Denmark. This is my car. A 1986 R5 GTT ph 1. I am going to race it in the Danish Hill Climb series. Enginewise it is fairly standard. Uprated intercooler, head gasket and head bolts. Rolled @ 131 hp and 196 nm. It will probably be stripped a bit more, and the cage extensions for the struts will be fitted at some point.

    This is my garage.

And this is my other toy. 2001 Clio V6 mk 1.

Thanks a lot guys. Vee is car #403 out of 1503 mk 1's (as far as I know).
It was originally sold in Italy. Then it was exported to Japan. After this it came to the UK, from where it was imported to Denmark. It is the only one here in Denmark that is road registered.
Car is totally original. In fact it was serviced by SG motorsports earlier this year. Included is a letter from them stating that this is one of the most original ones they have seen.
Plans this winter, it a very thorough detailing, and refurbishment of the wheels.
I would also like to fit a little louder exhaust and a aftermarket air box. But nothing that can't be reversed.

Welcome dall. I've seen your GTT on FB - wow it's certainly been around hasn't it! Good to see another GTT being used properly. I do track days myself but keep meaning to get into some sort of sprinting series.

    Hi guys
This is a long due update on the R5 GTT. I have been doing quite a bit to my Vee. Refurbished the brakes and fitted a QuickSilver Super Sports exhaust.

This is what it sounds like

Anyways this is about the five..
I am doing my racing license on the 7th of April, so car needs to be ready then.
I have started doing general maintenance, and sorting a few leaks. One being a coolant leak from the lower radiator hose.
I have ordered new main hoses from Roose motorsport. Furthermore I have removed the fog lamps, and will be replacing them with Aluminium brake ducts from Sam Fish.

Brake ducts. Looking forward to seeing them on the car:

I also started fixing a lot of bodgy wiring. Car might need a complete new harness at some point.
Also removed the seat, in order to fix it properly, and i was able to save quite some weight by removing the shocking bracket that was in there.
Seat will be fixed to factory mounts on the floor, with some reinforcement underneath. I am pretty sure this will be plenty strong, but would like input.

I "picked" up some various things at work today. This should be enough to just tidy up the wiring a bit, and some flat bar for the seat bracket reinforcement.
