Hello Ash. Hope your well good sir! it was great to meet you at Retro Show. I think the Audi engined 5 kept everyone interested.

2x500bhp f4r's would be very interesting

You must get a project thread up.

Wow sounds good looking forward to see the progress, maybe consider the F4rt as it has no crappy dephaser issue (I also have a cheap F4rt but has no compression on cylinder 3 so would need a rebuild but it sill ran and sounded nice just oily smoke suspect piston ring failure engine covered less than 70k). Only want £170.00 for the engine as is but it's literally just the bare engine no fly etc.../

    Re: Twin Engine R5 project

have been keeping a campus shell stored for years to build a sleeper. It's now time to start the built.
Basically I am using what I learned from building my last twiin engined R5 to build a better one. The goal is to install two turboed F4R engines with lots of cooling, good suspension and a very safe cage.
I took the car out of the storage last week and it had years of dust on but still looked pretty good. I was finding it hard to take the car apart as it was such a great car in immaculate condition but it's in bits now. Btw I have a perfect interior if anyone needs it.
The rear end will be double wishboned suspension with inboard shocks.
It's going to bit of a leaning curve to get the F4Rs working properly. I don't know how doable it is to retain the fly by wire but I really would love to have go at making it work.

    Re: Twin Engine R5 project

We got quite a bit done last week, first we started to sort out the rear subframe and fabrication sorted, then move to the front.
I have managed to source two good F4R's and boxes from 172. I drove the cars around for few days before taking the engines out so I know they are a good base to start from. All I will be doing is to fit new clutches, water pumps and belts.

Thanks James, I will try to upload project photos as its being built.
Thanks for the offer but I have three good F4R engines and boxes. I have been planning this project for a while and have been collecting bit for it.
