    Newbie - 5 Turbo Raider

    First post!

    Hi Guys,

    Ive had a weak moment and purchased a car I've always loved since i was 17, a Renault 5 GT Turbo Raider.

    Picked the car up Friday from a really nice fella called Ross in Poole, now looking forward to looking after the old girl with a trip to a few car shows and the occasional weekend spin.

    Be interesting to see if the car is known on here and value any opinions.

    Excellent mate. I would remove the dump valve and re fit the standard air box. You will be surprised at how much better the car will drive!

    Also who is the specialist?

    Where can I get an original air box from? I was keen to do that. I've got it booked it at a company called Two Techs in Dartford l. If you read their reviews they come highly recommend. Also not sure if the fan is cutting in any suggestions?

    Hiya! I see your in Medway also. There are a couple of us dotted about.

    Your raider looks great. Where did you pick it up from?

    Mike at gtturbospares can get you an original airbox. Get it refurbed and it will look ace!

    That's really kind mate thank you, I might take you up on that as I'm not very good at all with stuff like that. I'm only in Maidstone.


    I've dropped these guys an email already on a couple of others bits so just waiting for them to come back. Can they take a while?

    Well I am only in gillingham bud so not far. Let me know if you need a hand.

    The fan not cutting in should be relatively easy to fix.

    As for the company getting back to you- no idea. Never used them. Chase them up.
