Help me find a good 5 gtt.

Enthusiastic new member here but without a car.

Looking for a very good condition phase 2.
Healthy budget of 5k for the right car.
Must be either black, white or tungsten.
Standard ish preferable, no naff bits, dodgy bodykits etc.
Mildly modified engines, brakes, suspension all good.
If anyone sees anything that might fit the bill, please post a link.
    Cheers.

Two years ago that amount would have got you a minter.
A year ago it might have got you something like it.
    Now? I'm not so sure.

    I'll keep my ear out.

I know, there's a guy on another thread who is complaining that an offer of £20 from a fellow RTOCer is not enough for two small stickers!

Be prepared to just throw lots of money at it and never get it back. But the boost grin factor is worth it, and the nice people you meet. For me I love the hours and hours chatting over pots of tea the most with like minded renaultists.

Take your time one will pop up, don't rush into a nightmare

Milky, you've missed the point. You were protesting about the cost of decent 5 GTT's going up and ruining it for everyone. But the reason for the increase is normal market economics. Supply of GTTs is low and demand for them is high, so the price rises. Who can be blamed for this?

You seem to be aware of the affect supply and demand should be having on the decals you have for sale however, due to their scarcity. So if we take this as a case in point, I'd imagine they were less than £20 when new. Seeing as the run-out GTT's were circa £10k and a fine example can currently be acquired for around £5k, then maybe the price of your decals could be around the same '50% of new price' marker, at a tenner?

    Thanks
Very mild fettling all sensible stuff such as ali rad, intercooler, black samco hoses, strut brace, coilovers on front.
136bhp on the dyno. Cup mod.

Interior standard. Non sunroof with red carpet. Drives sweet.

Not broken yet so good so far.

Few bits to do on her to keep me busy. Central locking not working. Centre console back lights not working. Rear door cards needs tidying up. Just old car stuff.
Well pleased with it all told.
