Pros and cons for using 197 head

hi im starting to collect parts for my 172 turbo project
And was thinking about using the 197 head rather than
Getting my Pistons skimmed, just after some advise
On the pros and cons of going down this route, will there
Be issues with timing?
Any advice would be great thanks Ben
