Here the construction from MRS2 and MRS3.
And it was important for me, that the hysteresis adjustment will be possible without expansion of the damper.
Lying under the car you have still, but the robust, larger adjuster to the piston rod around will be able to find.

yes the absolute perfect way would be to develope new torsion bars. i'm in agreement with you.
but that's very consuming. and the required unit volumes immense. and how much you willing to pay?
that is the reason, that is attempted, to cover up / bridge the rear suspension with actually too hard shock absorbers.
the simplest possible solution.

therefore, on the rear axle, I want or I can't for cost reasons for the customer, develop other torsion bars, including the stabilizer bars. it would be nice.

so for the rear axle, I don't want to reinvent the wheel and I offer for the rear axle of the r5 and clio1:
-nothing, use the original shock absorber (light version)
-shock absorber with fixed groupe n set up and bushings, optional with unibal (best compromise, street, racing, country road, alps, nürburgring) (pro version standard, with unibal option)
-shock absorber with fixed groupe a set up and unibal (very hard, absolutely (grand prix) circuit) (pro version optional)

Also are you saying you have developed an R5GTT coilver set? We would be really interested in a look at this as there isn't a great range for the 5GT.

for the r5 and clio 1 there's anything at the front axle like the current brothers:
full adjustable m52 monotube shock absorber
adjustable unibal camber plates (only r5)
adjustable camber with a long hole in the bracket below (all)

Arno, I completely understand. I have tried to have some Torsion Bars made in Australia and it was going to cost A$1200 (GBP600) for one set (no roll bars).

Are you able to adapt any of the designs you have? The reason for asking is that I want to run the Front Hubs from a Clio2 172 on my R5 GT Turbo. I will also fit the 172 Wishbones (A-Arm/Control Arm) which will increase the track width and therefore the effective King Pin Inclination (KPI).

It might be as easy as using the Clio2 172 Coilover with some light modification to the Hub Attachment Brackets?

I'd be interested in your opinions on this.

RSC Competition Pro (with rear spring, rear damper & unibal- camber plates - stabilizer bars & custom color with surcharge) 2080CHF (£1418).

RSC Competition Light (without rear spring and/or rear damper - unibal- camber plates, stabilizer bars & custom color with surcharge) 1690CHF (£1152).



Seeing the quality, I can understand why the price is at the high end of the market.

yes, this cost for new and other torsion bars are realistic...

to adapt a r5 rsc competition with clio 1 front axle parts is absolutely no problem.
only the under bracket must exchanged against the clio 1 version.
the rest of the height can be adjust with the damper length in combination with the bracket.
and the price is the same of course. I need only a info with the order, if that comes into question for you.

yes of course, my target was also to develop something that fits into a market gap.
and this includes a coilover with the latest and best technology also for youngtimers.

target market is between kw clubsport and kw competition. but more at kw competition.
better than biilstein, h&r and similar öhlins.
and the quality, look and performance is equally the same. fits together!

There's a huge range in price and performance for suspension. Raceland make cheap and cheerful range and then you have high end manufactures like Ohlins that make kit for WRC. WRC is about 10,000 pounds a corner!

I guess what I'd like to see is a customer review against something like KW V3 or similar. Th biggest problem with the GTT is finding a manufacturer that caters for high end on a GTT. Another question is whether anyone wants to spend that kind of cash on a GTT?

I got some MCA Blue suspension for my WRX and the difference was profound!

Yep, this is absolutely high-end gear. As a punter, you pays your money and takes your choice. If you're not in the market for diamonds with the requisite money, there's no point complaining about the cost of diamonds!

Woz is right, the only thing missing here is performance comparison (and ideally somebody who has had this stuff in their hands to be able to better ascertain comparative quality with the other high quality kit).

yes it's a high quality product, not only in the materials, but also in the set up and performance.
and seen as a whole, it is not too expensive. still cheaper than a Öhlins, or a competition of kw.
but just as good, or even slightly better.

I haven't got compare in gb. Here in Switzerland have been going some r5 clio 1 and the newer models anyway.

yes, the picture for r5 gt turbo is similar.
except the r5 has unibal camber plates as option. and the color is grey/yellow.

It's great to get some feedback from an owner that uses their car on track. Did the owner improve track times?

An improved track time is not necessarily the only indication of a good setup. Consistency is one of the better indicators that the setup is working well as it means the driver feels confident with the car and is able to maintain momentum. It's also a good indicator that car is predictable on the limit.
