    Ribbed belt conversion phase 2

I'm after the water pump ribbed belt upgrade if anyone has one in the back of their garage, if it comes with crank and alt pulley as well that would be great.

Dude I have not actually seen this in use, I have seen that CGB sell the pump with different pulley, not sure what crank pulley you would use looking at the cgb picture it would appear to be the same as the aux crank pulley on the F7 series engines and the alt pulley is the same as on the F7. With regards to length of belt, get it all together and use a piece of string to measure length of belt you need local motor factors or online will be your best bet to source.

Out of curiosity why you looking to change to this??

Stu Clarke ran a multi ribbed belt setup as the standard setup is archaic.

V belts give more grip where ribbed are more flexible and as suited for running multiple ancillarys

Belt jumped off a couple of times last season and at the time I'd seen CGB's ribbed conversion. We're just rebuilding now for this season and have found that water pump crank is out of true so will be replacing and making sure everything lines up spot on. I wanted to have the ribbed option as a back-up so if we continued to have issues I could try a different set-up. I'm running 220bhp 230 torques and revving to 7000 ish and found the belt was the only weak link last year. Really appreciate all your comments/advice

I've got a lower crank pulley ribbed to fit C1J, it came off an engine with EFI.

never used it, not even sure what its worth.
