    Clutch help

    First post!

    Bit of help/ advice needed.

Only bought my R5 last week and currently going through the process of getting it road worthy/ driveable.

The biting point on the clutch is about an inch from the top and the pedal itself is savage to the point I think it is trying to push my shin bone through my knee! Pair both of these things together and it makes it almost impossible to pull off.

Any ideas what it could be and what I could do to sort it?

    Thanks.

    Re: Clutch help

Quite a common problem. It may be the clutch ratchet mechanism. Have a read here:

It's likely you have the uprated volt clutch, quite a savage beast when used in the gt with no extension fork.

    Thanks.

Have decided to go with the soft clutch conversion from scratch... Fun times ahead!

    Re: Clutch help

Once the gearbox is separated from the block, the actual fitting of the extended clutch arm is easy.

I think there is a guide on here for removing the engine for a clutch change mate.

Good luck and any problems-ask away on here.
