    Battery banter

    All right chaps.

Tried charging my battery last night for over two hours and zilch - no turnover, no handbrake light on the dash/turbo gauge. Nothing, nowt, nada. Going to see if I can jumpstart it tonight off my ST but if not, a new battery might be in order.

If so, will a cheapy one from Halfords do, or is it worth throwing a couple more quid in and getting a better one?

If not the battery, where would be the next place to look? Only recently had an MOT and service so alternator and whatnot should all in good working order.

    Cheers.

Cheap and Halfords for batteries , unless you get a discount off them, I would go to a motor factors.

Will these suggestions cater for the 1.7 Volvo lump in mine? I know it's no monster engine, but just wanted to make sure I don't get a battery suited to lower cc engines.

    Cheers chaps.

They say you need a 027 battery for that car. It has a lot high CCA rating of 580 compared to the 380 of the 063 battery.
