    Savings accounts

    Can anybody recommend a good bank/building society to save money in? I basically have a sum of money of which i want to save for a new home but i want an account with a good rate of interest. Anybody have any info or tips ?

    I would have thought an ISA would be your best bet. As long as you dont get one thats limited to only £3600

    Unless things have changed since I worked in the industry you'll be limited to putting £3k into it every tax year anyway.

    Well i have over £3000 to put into savings !

    I know on my mini ISA i can only put in £3600 every financial year, but i thought the key word was mini therefore there was other options to be had from ISA's? Never looked into in much detail though!

    Have got C & G ISA, interest is good, think may have changed now though in current climate. There's always bank of R5GTT!

    Normally i would spend the lot on the car , but i have grown up slightly and for the first time in my adult life im debt free, no credit cards,no loans, no store cards nothing, i don't even own a cheque book ! Now i have money i want to save it

    Personally i would take a gamble on premiun bonds... if u win anything of them put it straight back in...

    i'll look after it....forget isa's! no seriously id go for an isa.i put 3k in one and got bout £150 a year in interest..id have to have a look,but iam pretty sure.
