Renault 9 Turbo phase 2 restoration.

Hi everyone. D999 OKL is nearing completion . At least, the first wave is. Ie bodywork & alloys. Interior might have to wait til next year. I can't seem to however upload more than one pic per post so I've made up an album in my profile if anyone wants to take a look.

Once uploaded to your album, just go to each pic, right-click, copy URL, come back to the thread, hit the mountain icon button (attach image), paste the link in there and hit ok.

I'm admiring the wheels, though thinking that they're a nightmare to clean in
those grooves. Got my Speedlines done in Titanium Chrome by the guys at
    Aerocoat in St Olaves...

...very difficult to photograph an accurate shade because of the reflections,
but I reckon it would suit your wheels too. I've never understood why Renault
used semi-matt paints on most, if not all, of their turbo cars of that era.

Good luck with your progress. I'm looking forward to seeing it completed

    Regards,
    Steve

The wheels are being done next week whilst the gearbox is being put in.. It's an American ford colour called shadow grey.... Kinda like a gunmetal grey colour.... Your wheels look great!

Corrrr, I'm looking forward to seeing those pics. Don't bother with waxing them,
go straight in with a silicate coating. You should get 2 coats on all 4 wheels with
    a bottle of this...

    ArtDeShine ArtDeWheel Coating

Not much info on that site yet; it's not yet been properly launched. However, the product
is fantastic. If you can get a set of their "Octagon Formula" that's the bees knees. I've
had it professionally applied on my Coupé and the water repellency was something to see.
I've since had the car damp-sanded and another experimental system applied. Mine was
the first in the UK to have both formulas applied.

Pics of the treated car here...

    Regards,
    Steve
