7 owners (1 owner previous being CGB Motorsport(purchased by me from them)
Tax: May 2015
MOT: Oct 2015 (No advisories!!)
Milege: 3800

Owned for 6years

Full respray in 2008
Full front end restoration in 2010 - including new o/s front wing, all rust cut out.

Has had 1 sill completely replaced and a patch on the other, there is NO rust at all on boot lid or windscreen, and rear bumper brackets are solid.

Full engine rebuild, including head work (new valves,valve springs (uprated),collets etc.
Every gasket replaced during rebuild.

AEM AFR gauge fitted, currently running a standard T2 @ 1bar boost, carb is standard apart from a larger Main jet (125) – which makes for better feel cruising (2-3k rpm) and keeps fueling safe at WOT.

New clutch and soft pedal conversion, new radiator,starter motor, fully polybushed subframe.
Koni Adjustable suspension throughout and lowered 35mm.
Refurbished rear calipers fitted & new rear compensator fitted 2014.
New indicators,front head lamps, fog lights, rear number plate lights.
All underside brake lines replaced (previous advisory on last MOT)

All bills & invoices for parts +100's of photos of the work being carried out.


Overall considering its age, the car is in GREAT condition - it has been used as intended, so is not concours but has certainly not been abused!!

Price is reflective of the following negatives:
*Cigarette burn on the dash board
*small dent on the bonnet
*passenger seat material is torn
*standard alloys arent mint, so personally say would benefit from a refurb?

Just another note re:Tax

As the new laws came into effect 1st October, it states the buyer has to tax the vehicle abd exsiting tax cannot be transfered in the sale!

Wow, that looks really nice. Mine was originally the same colour before I repainted it blue back in 1996. It was amazing how badly my original paint had faded in just 8 years.

Ive gone for a clio 197.

A loooovely car to drive, obviously no 5!!! But the way things have been i just needed a more usuable vehicle, and when alls said and done its never the reliabilty of my old 5 that was in question just usability- carb freeze, hot start, shhhite heater etc lol

I have no doubt i'll get another 5 one day, but just other priorities at the mo

I have purchased the Red R5 from Alex. (wallace)

I Will do my utmost to maintain the car as good as Alex has done.
Had a 134 mile run back home and she ran a dream all the way home.
Few small Niggles since but all is good at the moment!

Hey James thanks.

I was given detailed pics of the build which i have been looking at, it was a pleasure to look at them. A lot of time and effort has been given to the Car.

iv pleased with my purchase and Alex is a top bloke.

Yes i will try my best to get to a couple of events.
I May try and get to santa pod hopefully but wont be going on the strip.
Look forward to meeting more Reno owners.

Yeah I'll be there in June mate..I'm down there 22nd feb rwyb..me and afew mates..I don't go up the strip lol I jump in my mates mr2 turbo n hit 12s all day.
My fives being abit moody at the mo lol ..so I just enjoy the drive down there really..
