    Prima Raceing......

I bought a headgasket from these arseholes the others week and I certainly won't be going back ever again!!,talk about unhelpfull.......probably coz I wasn't spending a grand!.
When I told the guy what the engine was gonna be running boost wise and so on and I asked for there so called "expert" advise on which gasket would be best all I got from the crusty old timer sat behind the desk was "how should i know!!" And his mate wasn't much better either....... unbelievable!!!!!
I knew I should have got one off CGB coz they give great service and are happy to help but I needed one sharpish that same day.

Very unhappy with there service and it just goes to show all the hype with these big names dosent mean good service!!!.

It never fails to amaze me how many stories of terrible service/blunders/damage to customer cars come to light regarding Prima racing, yet they continue to get people through the door and make a business from it. I've said it countless times on RTOC over the last ten years, DON'T USE THEM.

Tony Hart of Prima is a good bloke and he does know a great deal about the R5 GTT. He will be unhappy that you recieved such a poor response from his staff. Next time I see him at a speed event I will mention it to him.

I use CGB for most stuff and Prima for the specialised parts such as larger valves.

Tony Hart at Prima has tremendous knowledge and has always been helpful whenever we have met in competition but as a business owner he cannot be available to everyone all the time. They clearly stock a lot of tasty kit but I fear the reality is their core business is not servicing the likes of us.
Having now met Bob at CGB who started hillclimbing this year I would always start my search with him . Even before we had met his service was always exactly what it said on the tin, not just providing the parts needed but also willing to share knowledge when required.

Agreed. I think it's fair to say they are far more involved, invested and interested in the racing they do, apparently to the cost of quality at the end of the business that creates the revenue that allows them to do it

I've also had bad experiences from prima.

also when I met that Tony guy at cadwell during a sprint day years ago he had absolutely no interest in taking to me what....so....ever and was very reluctant to answer any questions on his car.....must of been a bad day!

    Re: Prima Raceing......

Well I kind of thought I wouldn't be on my own on this one what with there terrible attitude towards your general average Joe Bloggs that can't afford to spend thousands and thousands ,I very rarely post on here but after that experiance I felt it worth a mention to hopefully put off other potential customers from the Notts area and beyond off!!.
Now don't get me wrong I'm sure they know there stuff when it comes to Renaults........ having said that the pair of idiots I spoke to you wouldn't have thought so lol.
I just hate places like this that clearly think there far superior to deal with your average bloke off the street and i certainly will never go back or buy anything from them again and I most certain won't recommend them to anyone!!!.

If your doing a rebuild at the moment and need parts then I strongly recommended CGB Motorsport very good service and a decent sort of chap :-), to be honest I've not used other places for parts really but I'm almost certain they will all treat there customers far better than these robdogs!!.
