    Etching on windows

    Well after 4yrs of owning the 5 iv just noticed etching on all my windows stating Ren5141 is this from the factory or has someone had it done by insurance? Just a Q as I'm curious

    They normally etch the registration number into all the windows and have seen it on fog lights as well but think this was done at dealers

    Years back window etching was very popular. There would be people hanging about car parks & doing drive bys of your street hassling you to have your windows etched as a theft deterrent. They would typically do the windows and all the lights. Bit like datatagging on motorbikes.
