    mounting a 36-1 trigger wheel

i've came up with a hassle free way of putting a 36-1 onto the pully securely with absolutely no modifications to it.

it centers the trigger wheel on the pully.

all you have to do is unbolt the 19mm bolt remove the pully and the flange on the crank
slide the new extened flange onto the crank.
put the pully on then put the trigger wheel and mount and use the original bolt minus the big fat spacer and job done

    Rob,

Sounds like a good idea in principle. I take it that the appropriate missing tooth will be missing and alignment will already be machined in? Would obviously need to know where the crank sensor would sit too.

Can you take a pic of all the components together in assembly order?

nope woz none of that will be needed.

the idea is you cut the missing tooth out and then you have free play as to where it goes before the unit is clamped down and then the 3 allen bolts will give you the finer adjusment while the rest is clamped down.

we had the whole assembly mounted to one of the lathes just as it would be on the car and spun it to 12,000 rpm and it didnt slip, so there is no need for any other bolloxing around.
i'm shit at explaining things so if i made a balls of things sorry. (it was fun explaing what i wanted to be done)

Ah, I see. Sounds good. I suppose it gives more flexibility for those with different set ups?
