Hi...from the new owners of D999 OKL Renault 9 Turbo

New poster! (less than 10 posts)

    Hi guys ,

We're the new owners of Paul B's 9 Turbo..
It's track days may be over but over the next year it will be getting a complete make over... New reupholstered black leather seats, door cards & wheel... A well adapted Peugeot 405 Mi 16 tailfin spoiler and a few other subtle modifications to bring it bang up to date.... Will post pics as and when but here's one to start!!

Great to hear it's going to be looked after.

The OE seats are lush, can you not get the re-trim in the original look rather than leather?

Also, the OE spoiler is a subtle piece of loveliness don't change it!

Well done on the car, there so cool.

Make sure you take loads of pictures as you build, really enjoy following other peoples progress and great to see one of these on the boards.

Re: Hi...from the new owners of D999 OKL Renault 9 Turbo

Thanks guys... We love it to bits... I'm all one for keeping things original but we wanna do a modern interpretation of what a 9 Turbo might look like if it were still in production... Nothing will be chucked though, in case we ever want to change it back....
I'd love a 21 Turbo, but that's gonna have to wait til we get a new house with room for more cars, there's already a Colt CZC, Chrysler Neon, Citroen 2cv & now Thierry ( the 9 ) as well.... Lol...

I meant to ask you. Do you have access to any 9 & 11 specific parts?

Certainly does..... Like shit off a shovel so to speak!!!! He's been with my mechanic for the last few weeks getting MOT prepped and trying to sort out a gearbox and speedo problem... Also want to get the oil gauge working again.... My mechanic only works in the evenings, he teaches also, so getting MAJOR withdrawal symptoms..... If worst comes to worst, does anyone know where I can pick up a decent gearbox?
