    New poster! (less than 10 posts)

    massive thanks to chrispraider. brought me a gearbox back from samgtt {thanks sam} im rebuilding a 5 from bare metal shell. 1st time in 16 years been in a 5 gt turbo..still smiling now..posh go cart. awesome ,cant wait to get mine finished, my lad was proper buzzin. now I know why all your lads put up with the 5 gremlin problems. iv owned a evo 6 rs 390 bhp for last 7 years...seems boaring now to chris,s 5 ..thanks again mate...ps does anyone know difference between standard 5 +turbo 5 gearbox.1st 3 letters /nos same as turbo...thanks

    Lol no problem Simon glad it`s given you the insporation to get on with yours, i`m slightly jealous of yours now that i`ve seen it. It actually looks better than it came out of the factory brand new. If you need a hand with putting it back together or need me to bring mine accross to see where bits go just give me a shout it`s going to be a minter when its done. Have you started a project thread on here? i`m sure people would love to see what youve done to it and how much works been done already.

    Are you going through the same process as simon? The underside of the car is as nice as the bodywork

    thanks chris, still trying to get youngen to sort me pictures out. not very good at owt like that. thanks for offer to look at your car for help. been telling all work lads about 5 experience. loads been remernising. im fully commited to this coming weekend to refit/refurb as much as poss. got the bug back. hopefully salty , il be round to yours weekend after and sort something out. really need to get some pics and info in projects

    I might be able to pop round sometime over the weekend and lend a hand, not sure what i`ve got on yet. But i`ll let you know and hopefully pop accross. Not very mechanically minded but I can pass spanners like a pro
