how much mate? and by the sounds of things an oil pressure switch?
forget the cover mate. another mate has one for me.
I bet your loving having a five again
lol its not the work that needs doing its the fact i wasn't told bout any of this when buying it, not a happy chappy.
i know all fives are an on going project that's why i got one lol
jobs to do are.
sort heater fan.
sort out the cracked dash/door trims/
sort rear door card panles.
get parcel shelf.
sort slow windows.
sort central locking (sticky)
passenger seat belt clip has lost the cover.
drivers side door speaker cover wont stay on.
get a new plastic thingy for the accelerator peddle before it falls off.
sort jacking points and find all underside rust and fix.
fix front drivers side bumper mount rust.
find an inspection panel for passenger side wheel arch.
fix serface rust under paint on the drivers door/front drivers side wing/ bubbling around windscreen.
that's all i can think of that bug me. then ill start modifying it.
and thats not including what im going to fix in about half hour.
Central locking and windows are easy wd40 the hell out of it.
Good project mate- remember to load pics
yeah wd40 is what i was going to try first lol thanks for that
and yeah don't worry im a bit pic happy sometimes lol
thanks mate. where are you again? and what bits do you have?
good to know mate. ill be calling on you then lol
well last nite went well. ish
new drive shaft is on. but now i have a vibration over 60????
also when i took off all the bits i find the calliper extention for the bit brakes is only held on with one bolt!!! wtf!!!! i dred to think what else could kill me on this car
well what can i say. after investigating the knocking sound and vibration i find that the passenger side cv boots/joint has gone and the two bolts holding the outer part of the caliper on has been snapped off and aren't there. i have been driving round in a death trap! not bad considering the car was advertised at £3800!!!!!!
now i dont have any money left to fix and this is my only car. so im fu@ked!!! absolutely fuming!!!!!!

Did u buy it from a member on here? Contact whoever you bought it from & just voice your disappointment with the dangerous issues you've discovered. He may not even known about it if he doesn't carry out the work himself.
If he does know about it, go down and park it through his front door.

lol love it
Although you can't really tell for sure what a person is like from the other side of a keyboard, Nick always came over well. The first thing you need to do is get in touch with him and calmly ask him if he has any ideas. Its a pita but it all sounds relatively easy to sort. GL.
yeah thats the thing he did seem really genuine. he may not have a clue but i know he fitted the engine in the car. so everything that is wrong he must have at some point seen. i have txt him. its all easy fixed apart from im now skint and cant aford to fix it. plus what else is wrong with it?? i have found all this from going to replace the cv boot!
yeah thats also a factor. if someone else did the work. if he dosnt answer my txt by the time i go home ill call him. i know he works a lot and i dont have great signal at work.

Second hand complete driveshaft mate with boots etc.
seen that one mate thanks. also mike has one for 35. so just the calliper to sort now and think STEVO has one for me.
that's the plan now. i have spoken to the guy i brought it from and he has suggested i give the mot center a call so will be doing that first thing tomorrow.
also i have managed to source the new/used parts from a very kind member on hear who live not far away. and the guy who sold me the other drive shaft.
my plan now is to take everything back off the car that i did two days ago and also the pass side drive shaft/breaks and hub and clean and inspect it all and put it all back on. need to tap the hole in the bell housing and sort a cover for the fly wheel. and the stabilizer. while im there im going to try and fix the oil pressure switch leak. not sure how though.
with any luck (not that i have had any so far) she will be back on the road end of the week,
well what a busy few days. list of jobs i have done.

fitted new drop links.
changed gear box oil.
cleaned and painted both wishbones.
cleaned up both discs.
cleaned up and painted both hubs.
rebuilt both front brake calipers and made good ones. also cleaned and re greased them.
fitted fly wheel cover.
fixed engine stabilizer and re-fitted it.

removed the internals of the one way valve. and re-fitted.
cleaned all behind the bumper and investigated any rust to see how bad.
re-fitted intercooler mounting bracket.
some picks.
does anyone have a picture/ or details of where these wires are meant to be attached to. im guessing the oil switch thats leaking?
and this is the bugger that's leaking.
Can of paint and lacquer and you'll be good to go................ otherwise i'm gonna peel off that carbon stuff
after the other jobs mate this was my only option lol it wont be on for long lol
Glad to see your getting to have fun with it now.
thanks mate. yeah ita all good-ish now lol the custom pipe work is looking good so far but rain ended the progression yesterday so will carry on tomorrow or Monday now. cant wait to have it fitted.
cool

well small update. today i have cleaned and polished the car. fitted a bleed valve and turned the boost up a bit. was running 14.2 psi now aprox 18/19 and to me made such a difference.
happysunnysundayboosting!!!!!
me to mate. its not 100% there's still some small jobs to do but it drives and is reliable so that's all that matters at the mo.
although i have probably jinxed it now lol
mate there is always something to go tits!
Did the replacing the switch sort your oil leak out?
no not yet mate. thats going to be done tomorrow when i have the front off. its not a bad leak at the mo. well since i took it off and cleaned it up and put it back on anyway. lol
I've got to do my timing cover and sump. I'm getting my mate I do it though lol.
