    11 Turbo Rear Brakes Type

    I have a phase 1 '86 11 turbo which has rear drum brakes. How can you tell without stripping them out if it has Bendix or Girling brakes? I know the 5's have Bendix/Girling calipers however this is more obvious as you can see the difference. Cheers

    Sorry to say you have to strip and look.
    you can get both types in the same drum diameter so you can't always tell that way either...

    Cheers Paul, - thought id ask! lol Probably best to strip both sides, check linings/ cylinders etc and replace anything that needs doing and hopefully source parts
