Last month a renault dealer I know about closed. Not due to financial reasons, but the two old boys had sold up shop.
Decent chaps and donated lots of stuff to me that I have distributed around the 21toc.
One thing though that I havent parted from was the following
I believe it is a device that helps align front lights if the 5 has been in a light front end prang. Dealer only part that Renault dealers were forced to buy.
Anyone confirm / deny / know any more about it ?
and was used like this. from reading the book it allowed for more than just a bit of light damage it was from a time when every panel could be baught and replaced.

i have been given the renault manuals for the 5 including the bodywork one. its amazing as it give all the info for jigging welding points even down to how the metal work is folded and joined.
**** me could of done with that at the start of the raider front end rebuild, rather then eyeing it up!Originally Posted by royz

There is one chap who might have a use and he is Sam fish, he picked up the battered cup car and that about the only time I see this used, most times the car will be binned..
Rare doesnt mean it has to have a use.
Eg a faberge egg.
Surely, if given the correct measurements, it wouldn't be too hard to replicate this?
Think of the intercooler you could bolt onto that
would be a nice item for the club to own so that people could use it as needed but the logistics of getting it to and from people would probably be a pain in the rear, someone like mike may have use for it though
I defo have a use for it I've got to put a new headlight panel in my 5 at some point
