    My clio DCI 80

As a economical daily I decided to buy a clio dci.

Found this one on eBay the other week for a very attractive price.

It's got 98k on the clock and goes quite well for a 1.5.

The highlights so far are, £20 for a years tax and 68mpg

Future plans are to have a less restrictive exhaust made up and have it remapped. Roughly 120bhp is possible without other mods.

Get the sucker LOW on some 8x15s and fit a clio 172 interior.

First on the list though is to fit a new fuel tank as this one leaks.

The problem is that like my phase 2, it'll only get driven once in a blue moon whereas this will be in use every day so I've got to make it more enjoyable to drive otherwise I'll grow bored of it and it'll be sold before Christmas

You guys are so lucky! I pay €72 a month for tax in the netherlands. However it's still cheaper then paying €34 a month for a 1.6 with the 30kkm a year i make atleast.

I've had a dci80 for 2.5 years, been a great car. 75mpg is achievable.. But don't believe the trip computer.

As my daily car for driving a 75 mile round trip, I've not modded it. I mean it's got decent pioneer speakers up front and a decent head unit - but that's it.

I'm half thinking it could be a good shell for a GTT engine once the Dci engine starts playing up and the rot sets into the GTT

My daily is a dci 80. It's a great car I think, but I wouldn't waste a penny modding it, Just a cheap work horse nothing more.
