    Agreed Valuations - Worth it?

Are agreed valuations really worth much?

Been speaking to Graham Sykes, who are fronting a KGM policy.
They don't offer agreed valuations on modified cars... Which sucks a bit, as i've got a fantastic quote from them. Apparently the insurers will evaluate modification value at point of an incident.

I'm just thinking if anything were to happen, i'd get a few hundred quid and i'd break the car.

Is that not just in the instance of an accident? I.e is it worth them paying to repair it?? Surely if it were stolen and not recovered then they must pay the agreed value?!? I hope so!

Sorry, I've not answered but just added to your question!

Yep, i think thats the case that makes it worthwhile getting an agreed valuation.
Pity i've got to stump up an extra £50 with HiC to get the same policy from the same insurer

Definitely worth it. If some mug smashes in to u and writes your pride as joy off they will settle to the value of the car. If u insure it for £2000 then that's the most you'll ever get in compensation.

Been waiting almost 90 minutes for HiC callback after speaking to the bird, haggling and asking her to phone back in 30mins for payment. grr Hate insurance companies.

HiC are normally pretty decent. I'd stick with it, pay the £50 and have the peace of mind if you can possibly afford it.

Edit: Insurance company call backs - minefield.

Take it as read that they are not gonna (and that you need to chase them).

    Yearp.
Chased them today and bought the insurance.

All mods declared (cage, power increase, etc etc), agreed valuation. £225.
