    Re: Hello!

Cheers chaps, it's not exactly original for example it's a RHD, has minilite wheels etc, but I've never owned one before so I don't mind.

I've asked them to put a bigger intercooler on for me and it has the higher lift cam in there from the 210 hp spec. The plan is to make a thread on it then bring it to a meet

Trevhib, I will be round the guys house when I get back, assuming the address is a real one

Awesome mate, let us know when you get it as I'd love to have a poke around

I saw this one on car and classic a few months back, was a good price from what I remember!

No problem at all mate, cheers. Speaking to the seller he said there was next to no interest due to it being a RHD...! I guess most buyers want original

How rude!! sent u a pm

I was wondering why the car had small wing mirrors and round fogs, and came across this photo from some 30th anniversary celebrations......

It's a Tour de Corse spec car, so I guess mine has been built up to look like that. Pretty sure it doesn't have the 207 hp to match tho, maybe the 178.

    Video too:

    Re: Hello!

I see the site is working again, Happy New Year all

    More pics of the car......

Mmm Renaults, here is a shot of a handsome chap, and me

    Larger intercooler is on......

    Work to do -

Bilstein coil overs (to get rid of the front torsion bars )

Devil exhaust - "where are my flames? I want flames!". The standard silencer is pretty big although the entire exhaust is about as long as your arm.

Alloy radiator with the twin fans - apparently due to the thicker core this drops about 8 degrees C compared to the orginal unit.

    Re: Hello!

Forgot to add, I have taken over the helm as the UK registrar for Renault 5 Turbos/Turbo 2s with the Renault Classic Car Club. I'm not sure what I have to do yet

Translating the user manual into Franglais is a good start I think....

haha cheers the colour of the car is marine 403 just out of interest. It does look a little green in one of the shots but that was our lass doing fancy Photochop things. More like French Racing Green than blue . It's pretty dark in the flesh.

I still don't know the area that well, but don't mind trying to sort something if the interest is there? (without wishing to tread on Brigsy's toes).

Thanks gents! Matt, I went down to get it from John Price, I had a go then left it with him to get the shiny bits on. The weather was pretty ****ty so I didn't get much done. Yes it has a garage to live in, but I will need to evict the Volvo 480 turbo that's in there at the moment.

I would be up for a meet - towards the end of February any good? May I recommend the Angel public house in Durham City for a meeting place. The parking is rubbish but they do exquisite biro tattoos:

Thanks fella, I did try and join that forum I think must have they seen my IP address and said **** that (Kazakhstan).

The owner of the site helped to make a very good Renault 5 buying guide in Practical Classics Magazine, which I grabbed a copy of from Fleabay before getting mine. I think his dad owned or used to own a turbo 2 so I better try and get hold of him again

edit: sent him (Andrew of r5turbo forum) an email

I'm a patient guy, I waited 4 weeks for an 11 turbo V5 to dry out (see ramblings on page 1 )
