    Electric blue phase 1

Something has come up and I could do with raising some extra funds.

What I've got is an '87 phase 1 in electric blue.

The lower half of the car has been painted previously to quite a good standard and there's no rot around the screen.

I've had a quick look underneath and all seems well with no welding required.

The car was supplied with a v5 but no keys so I bought and fitted new door locks and loosely fitted an ignition barrel

It's showing 87k on the clicks but I've got no idea how accurate that is.

I bought this as a rolling shell for £600 last year and spent £430 on an engine and box including fitting from billy but it appears the headgasket may be gone ( mayo in rocker cover ) one engine mount is also gone.

It's got a brand new volvo 480 turbo clutch fitted that's seen no use.

Recently i've replaced the fuel pump relay and the reserve pump as these were both shot. I've also cured a fair few fuel leaks.

All the phase 1 interior is there although the black outer bolsters are worn as is always the case with a phase 1

As far as trim goes, it's missing a front bumper and grille.

Ill upload some pics shortly but I'd like to see £850 for it as a running project.

    Thanks

    Ross

Bog standard engine with standard carb and good t2. The only mod is a big bore down pipe and stainless exhaust. The boost has never been played with either. Also worth mentioning is that the rad looks almost new too

Apart from the obvious , what else is probably required to get this road worthy ? .

    Well,

    Brakes appear fine
    Springs aren't broken
Headlamps and tail lamps work but no front indicators fitted
Screen not damaged and all seat belts are present

No idea on the condition of bushes, ball joints, rod ends etc as I've not really paid any attention to them.

I can be around for a viewing most evenings so feel free to pop over and make your own mind up.

Lol worth a punt, although I would swap it for a 5. It's sitting there doing nothing. Good luck with the sale I'm sure it will sell. Looks nice.

    Simples. Just move closer

On a serious note though, I had it transported from Portsmouth or Plymouth (can't remember which) through shiply.com for £190 I think which wasn't too bad.

If I add up what the car has cost me in parts, purchase price, and transportation it easily hits £1500
