Wow that looks like a excellent conversion.

    Any bhp figures?

    How much boost?

    What turbo are you using?

I have not been on the Dyno yet

I ran 17,4 PSI but recently dropped to 14,5-15
The clutch can not hold it and the clampforce of the std
headbolting is not big enough, it started leaking and I
    had to rebuild it

The turbo now being used is the stock TCE one

Planning on building a new engine with forged rods and pistons, ARP bolting etc..
    in the winter.
I then will mount a better clutch and can opt for a bigger turbo

But it is very much fun as it is to be honest

Sounds like you've tested the standard set up to the limit.

Re: Twingo Type One Turbo TCE gearbox

looking for a new gearbox, currently I am driving with the std one
this is pretty good but I want it to drop some rpm on highway use and increase topspeed
as it now runs easily in the rev limiter running 5th gear running 4200 rpm cruising 120km/h

    now I use a JB1 996

I also want to increase the power as I will build a new engine in the winter
is the JB3 already a stronger type? as it is used with k4m engines
    perhaps a DCI one

    All suggestions are welcome

I have the digital puls insert type, electric
    the list says 21/19
I tried to upload the table but as I am on holiday in France I have a **** camping connection

I would love to maintain the original speedo, but if the perfect solution gearboxwise
will be without this option I will be glad to drop it. It could be as easy as a Sigma from a bike ,lol

Currently building a new TCE engine, planning to have it running March 2013

    Purchased from UK trough Ebay

Changed the trigger pattern to suit my KDFI so now it is a genuine 60-2

Re: Twingo Type One Turbo TCE

I have purchased these rods for my twingo, as they are the weakest part of the engine
It is a shame that you can not see these nice parts once fitted

    Rods have arrived

    Today I fitted the 480Turbo clutch (art.nr VALEO 801015)
This clutch is able to handle the power
As the centre pins line up it was a easy operation
basically it was just bolting the old and new clutch together
with 3x M6 bolts in the alignment holes and your template is ready
It fits perfectly so this is another job done!

    Hello Fellow Twingoer

I have some suspension questions for you...

I have the H+R kit, but had to swap the front springs to some linear 5N/mm ones, but I still bottom out the front suspension when I hit a bump in a corner. Do you know what rate your springs are? I don't have an anti-roll bar, that might help, not sure if it would still fit.

I think I need to stiffen up the rear a lot, it's impossible to make my car oversteer, is yours the same?

I might see if there are any bumpstops inside the Bilstein dampers, I could maybe remove them to stop the bottoming. I haven't lowered the car much, I'm sure yours is lower.

    Andrew,

Just read your topic you have a real sleeper there, loving it!!

I do not now what rate my springs are sorry

The weight of my engine is a fraction of yours, its
a single camshaft 16v with manual valve lifters
So when I do some hard cornering(nordschleife) it is still very controllable

I am running -1deg cambershims on the rear axle

Re: Twingo Type One Turbo TCE

I think the engine added an extra 40Kg to the front of the car, so with me in the car it's only an extra 7% on the front axle.

I have about 1deg rear camber, or whatever putting a broken bit of hacksaw blade in the gap does

Are antiroll bars (and brackets) easily available?

Can you get stiffer wishbone bushes? If not I was thinking of getting some made, do you think there is a market for them?

What I'd really like are some new standard seat covers, mine are rotten and have holes. I'd want then to be original.

Have you looked at my original build, or just the latest Turbo upgrade?

I also read the whole non turbo story

Anti roll bars are std on some versions you should be able to get hold of some
fairly easy, they are connected with the shocker housing trough small torque rods

I am interested in "powerflex" wishbone bushing, but I do not think
there is a big market for it

Chances are big the bushings are exactly the same dimensions as gtt/clio/19 bushings.
