Hello all!
I joined the site a few weeks ago and figured now was a good time to say hello.
I'm Andy and live to the North of Nottingham.
I'm very privileged to say I drive a totally original, unrestored 5 Turbo 1.
The car gets used on a weekly basis throughout the summer, and I'm hoping to attend the Festival in July =]

I have some better pictures on another computer and will upload shortly, in the meantime here's a couple of the interior and engine.
The interior cleans up well apart from a few areas where the carpets have faded. After all, it is 32 years old!
The engine was re-built to standard specification around 1500km ago and is still rather shiny!

Welcome to the club Andy. Awsome car! I think this may be the only r5 turbo in the Rtoc. It's really good condition, deffinafely dry stored. Have you owned it for long?
I've got a t2 (see boards, 5 turbo & turbo2) and there's another t2 owned by a member called r5turbo2. If u need any help or advice give me a shout.

Where are the values at for Turbo 1's in this kind of condition currently? It must be pretty high.

On Saturday the 5 rolled over 20k km on the clock which I believe to be genuine.
The pictures were taken a few weeks ago when the weather started to warm up so are current. Will take some close up pictures of the interior over the weekend and upload =]
The car lives in a carcoon when garaged to help keep the condition up. It's been garaged all it's life to my best knowledge.
Do I need to do anything special to take this to the Festival? How much are tickets and is it a weekend event?
If anyone in the local area wants a run out in it I'd gladly take them for a spin! Are there any local meets?

I've never taken it to Le Mans however it may have been in the past! I'd like to see the Fifth Gear clip if it's available somewhere?
This one was exported from Paris in 1981 (I have the original keyring from Renault Exportation Paris) however it did do a tour around Europe in the early 80s so may be on some footage somewhere but I believe it has always been on UK plates.
It's a difficult one to value, personally I feel it is priceless. It's insured at an agreed value.
