    Carb trouble?

Hi all. Trying to start the 5 but notice fuel is pissing out of the side of the carb, I presume diaphragm has split, so I order a new service kit, I replace the diaphragm which I can see has a little tear in it, put it all back together with new one. Try n start the car and the same is now happening? Fuel coming from side of carb?

Any info would be great. Is their a reason why it's split again?

    Is your float stuck?
Could be causing the bowl to overfill and fuel to spill out?
    Just a thought

Fuel line attached to wrong place haha

Think I am on the over flow. So shooting a shed load of fuel up it. And splitting diaphragm.

    Doh

    Re: Carb trouble?

I made a boo boo last year with the fuel supply to the carb, i had a larger bore feed pipe than the fitting and in my amazing wisdom instead of sorting it properly i packed out the fitting on the carb with insulation tape

it spat it off and sprayed fuel all over the engine, luckily for me the engine was cold, if it had of happened half a mile earlier it would have been very different
