I was getting Around 1400-1500 a month after tax. They also bill you for anything they like you don't get a say in what they deduct from your pay.
No overtime pay either You could work crimbo day and still get the same.
Not worth it for the bull **** you have to go through every day.
Great if your single with no kids and just wanna get pissed every day.

Army housing is cheap though compared to civilian market.
you would get a bonus on an operational tour.

i'd say £1400- £1500 is quite good pay.
But then again, working in the notoriously badly paid car parts distribution trade for 12 years and still not getting anywhere near £1400, maybe i'm just bitter.

At least your employers don't ask you to risk your life, or take the lives of strangers then cut you off or make you redubdant to deal with what you've seen & done! I'd take a smaller pay check over service any day!

that's where the big bucks lie.
Potential Death situation ( of yourself or others ) does seem to grow proportionally with wage.
although, like most jobs we end up doing, it was a choice when we first started and were naive - hindsight is a wonderful thing.
