31st March: Easter "Midlands Meet at Mallory"

Myself and Chris have noticed a lack of meets and days out in the midlands despite a reasonable number of members in that area.

We thought that Easter weekend might be a good time to get a few of you out of the house and behind the wheel, after all the end of March should have some "decent" weather with a bit of luck.

Easter Sunday:

The 750 motor club ( http://www.750mc.co.uk/ ) are holding a day of races with adult admission at £12 . Under 12s are free.


Races on the day will be:

Premier choice group 750 formula championship
750MC 750 trophy series
Demontweeks/Yokohama stock hatch championship
Demontweeks/Yokohama classic stock hatch championship
Demontweeks/Yokohama locost championship

Previous events that I've attended at mallory park have had small club stands within the car park. I can try to arrange this if people would like but if not we can atleast blow the cobwebs off our cars and have an informal gathering in the car park and clubhouse bar area.

Mallory park = mega fail!!!

After spending £50 on diesel we arrive to find nobody there other than an old lady in Mallory park gear. I asked her what was going on to which she said that the IT bods had put the wrong info on the website yet again. Apparently this is a regular occurance at Mallory. Car racing is tomorrow, not today as listed on mallory's website We were just a few of a large number of people that turned up for nothing today.

She suggested I drive down to the pits to complain to the officials. I did drive in the direction of the pits but ended up doing 2 fast laps of the circuit in my van instead.

I'm eternally sorry to romil and James who I know turned up and anyone else who made the trek. Unfortunately this was completely out of my control. If you open the link at the top of the page you can still see the wrong info on there website.

I had an email from demon Tweeks yesterday saying that mallory park is on the verge of being closed down due to noise pollution from the track and its the local residents and the council who are trying to get mallory closed for good
