Omex/Armtech Clubman unit will do the trick.

Next model up from the Clubman has a clutch switch for basic launch control/full throttle shift.

I understand its not healthy for the c1j to be left on the limiter like an injection car though??

i think thats due to the pushrods, possibly bending?

mine is quete often on the limiter and it still works

    Re: Coil rev limiter

The launch control works by halving the rpm limit (via a remote button); ie, if the overall limiter is set to activate at 7k rpm, the launch control (when you push/hold the button) will only allow the engine to rev to 3.5k rpm.

Just enough to get the t25 ready then.. I'm sure someone said its not good for the valves as there would be unburnt fuel in the chambers?

Depends on how often it's used??
An overly rich afr would do the same I reckon.

Launch control that is... depending on how often you use it i geuss, and how long you sit at the lights on it. I would still recommend getting a limiter.

It's more for pod really and the odd Subaru sat at the lights it's purely because I'm putting a different cam in so I'm guessing I will be revving higher than 6.5ish now i will have to get it set up properly a no one can tell me if these ep cams are long revs or low revs

    Re: Coil rev limiter

It delays the spark, so yep, there'd naturally be unburnt fuel in the cylinders. Won't hurt every now & then, but prolonged use might cause an issue.

There was a spate of people on here (old site) who suffered cracked liners when those Omex/Armtech units were new on the market & everyone was fitting one, and that was put down to excessive use of either full throttle shifting, or letting it bounce off the limiter at the top end, and hence fuel hydro-locking was taking place & subsequently causing the liner(s) to split.

Most modern limiters cut fuel (injectors), but of course this isn't possible to do with a carb' in situ.

Depends how it times up really, it may time up where you want it or it may not. Also helps if you know where you want it timed in the first place... I wish I could help more but I didn't measure my 285 each time I adjusted it I just changed it till it drove best.
