    ciao

    First post!

Hi all I'm Sid Dawn...coming over to RTOC from Andys facebook R5gtt Owners...I've had a few 5s over past 10yrs..1 of them I wish I kept and miss every day..
    Anyway forwards and upwards.
I'll be able to put some pics up over next few days..
At this moment I'm 5less ...but still have a strong passion for them...and always on the look out for a new baby...

So my plan at the moment untill I get the 5 is to build up an engine to drive it...I've started but it's guna be slow..££

For those of you that don't know me from facebook...I'm the guy thats making the bearing roller rockers...and is working on a head spacer...and big bore kit...oh yeh and a timming cover inspetion panel...so even thow I don't have a 5 there always on my mind...

    thats it for now

    cheers

    Re: ciao

Really wish id made/bought a timing chest with an inspection cover, after the 2nd time of adjusting it i thought sod it, the timings gotta be close now........ no luck 3rd 4th and i think maybe 5th time of adjusting i seem to of found a good balance.
Anyone rebuilding an engine with a new cam/vernier pulley has to have a removable timing cover for adjustment, getting it set where you like makes a huge difference.

Welcome to the club by the way

not mini no mate...made from billet alloy...starts life as a 2m long length of 7075..then lovingly shaped on CNC to make what you see in pics...roller bearing, oilite bush and anodized...

all done in my spare time...at my work..

My work is R&D related for military...

I got out of engineering for a while but like 5s once ya hooked it never leaves you...

    Nice engineering.

I guess it wouldn't be a problem to increase the rocker ratio then?
