B18 - Ft vs EP Engine.

Now correct me if im wrong here, I have a B18EP engine here i've brought to repair my FT engine as the crank is lunched in mine....

Now the only differences i can see in the engines is the pistons?!

The oil feed to the turbo on the FT, is a blanking plug on the EP and can be removed.

The turbo oil return on the EP will need drilling out but nothing major there.

The EP head looks the same as the FT head and has the EP cam in it

The Inlet Plenum looks the same and has the larger throttle body on it

So if you swap the pistons in a EP engine to FT ones do you basically have a B18FT engine with the added extra's Is this correct ??

The cam you want is the e or ep cam don't think the es has that much extra lift matey.
Is the throttle body the one with an extra pivot on there? I had a look at fitting one of those on my engine but didn't I forget why now but I think it was due to having to blank parts off so the air didn't escape being turbo'd. Have a look maybe you can se what I mean but I can't really remember now

I think there might be some confusion ? Because you could have a B18E engine in a Volvo 440 ES. So a cam from a volvo ES may not be an B18ES cam, but a B18E cam.
