    my little 106 gti project

    got this last month after a random text message saying it was in someones garden and they didn't want much.. bought it blind and arrived to tow it back to my place

    fast forward a month, and its just passed its mot

    day one:



    then a shopping list from ebay, some paint, and some pics:









    and as of yesterday at mot after it passed

    yea took it back up chop shop last night from mot down some back roads and found myself doing 70mph down single track lanes without even realising!

    great little car, there was a red/orange one on its roof friday night at the top of my road the guy was out of the car but didnt look best pleased.... quite a few cars end up in that garden one way or another.

    Dawn had one of these, she loved it. I must admit, i liked it too, very slow compared to what I've had but it made it up in the handling. They're a ''chuckable'' car.

    Showing my age but my mate bought a 106gti brand new back in the day, in black actually. For what they are they're pretty good. Handling is supposed to be really good, we were smoking about in 205gti's at the time and the 106 was a big step forward... At that time

    Believe me I wouldn't ride it, just go there take in the atmosphere and enjoy the local roads/views... Seen enough bikers go down at the ring, that don't appeal to me

    i was gonna say, i'd never dream of taking my bike round the ring, too many corners, not to mention cars! lol

    bikes are awesome though...

    100 miles completed with no drama... thats abusing it like a ginger stepchild too!

    3rd gear is awesome, will see indicated 115mph at the top of the revs! lol

    Love it Mark! As Adam said above I used to have a GTi, miss it sooo badly and unfortunately it never made it on track as some bint wrote it off last summer (right before ND)

    You got any more plans for it?
