After a real ****e day dealing with an insurance company involving one of my company vans, I decided I'd update my 5's policy.
Sureterm are really great. I told them all my upgrades and have an agreed valuation of £6500 for my lil beasty, included my upgraded suspension and wheels. £10 a year extra.
£140 a year. Chuffed
Might give them a call. Am struggling to get under £275 at the moment.
Is it the rollcage insurers don't like ?

So, all that's left are my centre caps from mike at gt turbo spares & my flocked door cards from Carl @ Phoenix and the 5 is completely restored. I have some refurbed Speedlines & johnnys old voodoos as other "shoes" for her.
Also just got to fit the hot air feed pipe.
She'll be done soon- really happy I've restored it & looking forward to helping mingblus (simo) crack on with his project now.

Second that. OE+, don't change anything that can't be put back and keep all the standard parts. A bit of mild lowering and a stainless rear-exit exhaust with a 3" tail never hurt.

Just picked up my new wheels. Just dropped them into Paint it, going for silver with a diamond cut rim. We all love a clean rim after all!
Although I don't like the colour of these rims, who ever painted them done a high quality job!

Right then, At the request of my dearest rtoc'ers I have decided to update my thread.
After my "oe" hoses were looking shite, I decided to buy a full set of black sfs hoses. Whilst fitting these I thought I'd get some chrome innit...
It's covered in dust at the moment where it's been in my workshop for 4 months, but it'll look the nuts once it's detailed
I fitted my pod made by dear Jon..l
And finally I got my recaros fitted (at last) fully reclinable and adjust so the rear seats are still useable.
The turbines are now back on and I think they really are one of the best wheels on the 5.
All that's left to do is to valet and detail the old girl and she's good to go.

And my latest idea. Heavy duty long life radiator fan complete with fitting kit. The kit needs to be cut down slightly, but the slimline fan allows for easier pipe runs etc for fmic and oil coolers.
I suppose being a Spal authorised dealer has its perks.
Anyone interested in one can order one via me. I'll sort out a set price for rtoc'ers

Actually the front driver's wheel appears to have a strange camber. Is it just the angle the photo has been taken at? You don't have a mix up in Ph1/2 suspension set-up do you?

Cheers chaps!!! As I said Hickman was the creative genius behind the seats. They weren't my idea at all. I am extremely happy with them, they're so comfortable it's unreal.
The suspension is the konis out of the club shop trev. I think it's just the pic that makes the Camber look abnormal.
I'll be up the workshop fitting the new slimline radiator fan tonight. It'll modernise the engine bay and also make working on it a lot less hassle.
I know I've said it before, but the car is truly finished now. I may even consider selling it if the right price came along.
