    Clio 16v F4R

not mine, but i'm building this for a friend, only spent 6 evenings on it so far, pretty straight forward swap. just gotta get engine back in after some parts arrive, then wire it up and fingers crossed should be quite fun

making the dials work... didn't get many pics as i had to concentrate, but here is a 'during'

    and an after

now just a few ECU wiring niggles and should have it working, but we got cooling system all sorted using 172 pipes, 1.5 dci rad and a slim fan in the post
few bits to tidy up, and hopefully soon it will move under its own steam

    Re: Clio 16v F4R

Zoet racing will do a custom manifold for this conversion in a 5.

Here is a copy of the email they sent me when I enquired.

"We can produce another manifold like the one on the picture.
The small problem is that we make it fit to the engine and sub frame on the car.
When this is stock we can produce another.

The only requirement is that we need an original manifold to produce it from.
So you can sent yours, and we fit it to an engine and sub frame.
Or we can supply an original and rebuild it. We use it from a Clio 2 16V from 2000

When we buy a manifold and rebuild it, it will cost you 1400 euro ex shipment, when you sent yours we will take 500 euro of.

    With kind regards

    Zoet Racing"

we used a standard ph1 172 manifold, and k-tec decat, had to convert to manual steering as it goes over the rack rather than under. all the 172 mounts were used and bolted straight into the valver shell. only tricky bit was the wiring but thats my niche so thats all done, best bit is the working 172 clocks

    Re: Clio 16v F4R

my work is now done, starts, runs... drives!

172 dash all working, VVT working, fan working, wasn't too bad in the end

Just needs the exhaust to arrive from decat back as its pretty loud, and then prep and painting then its off for MOT and tax

slightly unrelated but this was the chaos last night finishing it off amongst other things
