    Turbo Advice. General Thoughts.

    Hi all,

    I have been all around the search function and have spoken at length to peeps about my tubo options but i thought i would just post here and see if anything diffeent comes up. Plus it gives people stuff to read

    I am ready (Almost) to get my smokey standard turbo off and upgrade.

    My Engine spec is as follows;

    C1J
    Rejetted carb ( Was running a T25 @ 18psi before I bought it but im able to check AFR so thats not too much of an issue.
    Uprated Head Gasket.
    Ported and Polished Head.
    K Tec Bread Bin Intecooler.
    Piper 285 Cam with Springs.
    Full 2.5" system.

    Now I love the response of the Standard turbo but I do know that the cam is not really being utilised enough so want to go bigger. I dont have a big budget so something from another car would be great. Also does anyone have any experience of the Cheap turbos off the Bay.

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/T25-T28-TU...item5d303dc10e

    If i was to go for a FULL T25 what mods would I need for my downpipe? Would it be too laggy? Are there any Turbo's that would go straight onto my system. Do I only need to change the downpipe if it was standard as its not. Also are uprated actuators worth getting and what one would I need.
    If i was to go for half T2 half T25 can I get near 200BHP.

    Any links to Turbos that I would want would be great. Id love 200BHP. Reliably tho. As much as poss!!

    Thanks all. Look foward to reading all the Options.

    Hong Kong phooey turbo mate you take your chances only worth a go if you could afford for it to all go Pete Tong and loose your cash if it goes wrong.

    I'd say the tomcat T25 you've got kicking about would be a good unit for your spec. get it down to Adam at TD for him to check it over.
