black phase 2, old friend of the forum

hi, i have had a couple of 5's now but i have treated myself to this one. i cant take any credit at the moment for the work but it will is by no means a finished project.

the engine is only 2k old with a lot of uprated parts, the body has good paint and the interior is tidy with a nice set of flocked door cards

    hope you like

    jobs on the list are

    a good detailing session
sit the front better in relation to the rear
    a side exit
the T25 is quite laggy for some reason
paint the alloy scuttle tray cover
    bleed the brakes
was tempted to read up on the clio dash swap but not sure

    thanks
    adam

thanks for the comments, i am so pleased with it and the detail to what has been replaced is second to none.

i think i agree i will leave the dash alone.

i am undecided about the wheels also, i am very tempted to get some standard wheels refurbed to complete the whole original look bar a little lower.

OE rims will go nice, although it's plenty low enough

Looks like the seller left their Tuba under the bonnet. You might want to return that.

    Ha ha cheers

I presume you mean the blow off valve (always makes me laugh)

Is there any difference or pro/con to these instead of the normal dump valve?

    Thanks

    Does look very nice indeed.

For the record though, it's not a wastegate noise, it's turbo stall

thanks again for the comments lads.

i do prefer the wastegate (turbo stall noise) but for that reason i will keep a dump valve.

now the school hols are over i will be able to get some work done on this.

i gave the old girls a little polish and have also been buying a few bits.

on the other side of things i went along a met a very helpful/well know chap off the forum who gave some great advice and i will be sourcing a lot of shiney bits and finishing touches from. thanks again mike (phase 1 16v turbo) was a pleasure to meet you.

here are a couple of pics

i bought these but have changed my mind so back up for sale

i am a sucker for anything shiney (engine brace)

had a little clean but still needs some time spent on it

well the sidey is on now and completely changes the sound of the car its now quite loud and abusive when on the loud pedal.

i am torn weather to get the rear exhaust cut out deleted at a body shop or if i should just run with it just in case one day i change.

    thanks

I liked the rear exit exhaust on this car. I'd leave the rear bumper in case you go back

I must admit i liked the rear exit exhaust and if it was 3 or 3.5 inward roll it may have stayed but i love the sound of the sidey

jtec - think your right i need 2 spare bumpers to cut about so i can keep this one in the loft.

I want to get that back end up touch. is the torsion bar a hard job?

    Thanks

I cut the outward roll part off my last exhaust and it looked ace (IMO).

    Two rear bumpers -
