megane 225 mpg

i might be looking for a replacement for my daily c4 coupe hdi vts, its good but i wouldnt
mind a megane sport, the only thing that is putting me off is the lack of mpg what do you guys average?

may be easier if you say how many miles ( driving sensibly) you get for £25

in my c4 diesel (170bhp remapped) i can get about 180 miles to £25 would the megane be way off this...

Don't know about your £25 benchmark, but from a full tank (usually between £60-70) i average 250 miles. Thats mainly town driving.

I've managed 310 miles from a tank once with a motorway run down to dorset.

I've had mine mapped but this hasn't affected the mpg for better or worse.

So in answer to your question, yes the megane would be way off

I recently bought a 55 megane 225 ... It has a stage one map ... 255bhp ... Aint rolling roaded yet to see if it right .... Been keeping a eye on mpg ... Town driving I would say you can get about 23mpg max ... Changing to fifth at 40mph helps a lot ..... But around 21mpg is more like it .... Motorway hi speed driving ... Then you get about 29mpg ...
