hello, maybe someone could advice anything regarding alternator, in one of my renault alternator is charging only 13V, i have swapped alternator from my other renault where it was charging 14v and little above but in that renault 11 its charging only 13V. so alternator is fine, who controls alternator regarding how much it should charge?
there is a regulator on the back of the alternator i think, where the yellow and purple wires plug in on the top. that controls the output, should be around 14.4v when running measured at the positive terminal on the alternator. are you measuring from the alternator or an incar voltmeter or from the battery?Originally Posted by chipis
