    Accelerator cable gone slack... any ideas help

    So the Accelerator cable has just gone slack on the phase 2 after a spirited drive, anyone else experienced this and know how to fix. Carb end looks fine
    It still reves but pedal isnt firm at all.

    where the cable outer attaches to the bracket on the carb it has most likely pulled itself through a bit and needs pulling back out, either that or somewhere along the cable its got a bit too warm and the cable outer has got soft and bunched up reducing the length of the outer

    The carb end looks fine apart from having quite a lot of play, is the cable held along the engine bay on any clips? maybe it has come loose- too dark at moment to look at it.

    read very carefully what pheonix just said......

    undo the clamp and re adjust. you may wanna clamp some sand paper round it too.

    if your cable isnt held out of the way of anything hot you will have no end of problems since the outer is plastic, mine doesnt have any special clips but its strapped to the top boost hose with a couple of velco straps to keep it out of harms way

    Oh well doesn't really matter now. Some stupid bint just drove into it whilst at the light and now likely written off

    thats a realy 5h1t thing to happen, i recon i would have lost it big time if it happened to me, when the insurance company are assessing value send them a copy of the advert for that one that just sold for £13,500
