    clio 182 imob problems

    my clio 182 wont start
central locking remote is working fine
unlocks the doors turns the alarm off but the red light on the clocks/ dash flashes
when you turn the key to first setting the dash lights come on
the flashing red light stays red
it should turn off after a few seconds
    but it stays on
any ideas how to bypass the imobiliser or fix it
    electics is not my thing
    any advise would be greatful

sounds like car isn't recognising key.

could be key, UCH or ECU, all 3 are linked together

Sounds like key needs recoding, or you get a demobilised ECU.

You been touching any of the chassis earth's, car battery, alternator, UCH all plugged in ok as i have seen on the clio forum that this sometimes causes this problem also

Have you Tried putting in gear and starting? this may sound stupid but it has worked for some

worst comes to worst, 'brute force' the ecu. hickleys can do this for you to find out the code, then you can use an emulator to tell the immobiliser to disarm itself constantly.
