    New member busy rebuilding a classic

    First post!

    Hi Folks,

    Just bought a GT5 turbo for restoration, couldnt bear to see it stripped for parts....
    Hoping for some help, parts, suggestions and a lovely car at the end of it all.

    Got any pics? Would be good to compair the before and after pictures

    Pics? My next job.... Its in a state of undress at the minute with the wings off and the seating out, probably remove the front subframe and motor to get it properly sealed and painted too.

    Ok, Here goes....

    First job was to strip and find the rot. Have already welded the inner front wings, next stage is to drop the engine and subframe out to fit new springs and poly bushes.

    At the same time I can get the engine bay painted, gonna do the complete car in a rich burgundy red metallic. Not keen on the Ktec bodykit tho' anyone got a standard front end they wanna swap?

    Hopefully I'll get some time on her this weekend or some evenings next week

    Tried and tried but can't get pics to upload.... Tried jpeg, pdf, doc and they all return a fail I'll try from home tonight again and see if that helps.

    Its a long hard slog, believe me. Credit to anyone who does a proper restoration imo.

    Whats the plans for the car, i hope its staying white? C1j or something else?

    Yeah, expecting to be in it for the long haul, trust me .

    White would be nice but hard to keep looking it's best, thought of one of the original reds since the carpet is a nice jack the ripper blood stained red

    Its a strong runner though, hopefully it won't be too much hassle.
