Oh dear, this R5 is simply stunning. It was at the French National Day and the attention to detail is simply second to none

Amazing the work that has gone into this car

So refreshing to see so many different modifications using the Renault parts bin to great use.

    Well done Monsieur Megabytes

Hey Bruno! Welcome to the RTOC

It was a pleasure talking to you at Sanglers last weekend. What an awesome build thread on your car, it truly is a stunning machine and moves the 5gtt game on I think

Hope you can make it to our event next month?

    Thank you a lot !

Next month... the boat is already reserved
Dont worry, the french team is comming
hope we could talk again ! (and drink of course )

I've "just" have to change my gearbox.
The 4th gear has gone last week end
So i am making a reinforced JC5 from clio RS mixed with a lot of other gearbox.
I don't want a short gearbox and i want keep the GT turbo speed clock

    Funny puzzle

Wow! Fantastic project. So much work has gone into that shell it's amazing.

Love the wheels. What do they look like with the caps on? And any chance of original indicators and fogs

    Re: My Raider 5GTT rebuild

during the last meeting (Sangliers 2012), i have broked my JB3 reinforced gearbox (hard to follow english drivers )

So, i decided to build my own gearbox.

    The used parts :

    Gearbox JC5 002 from R19 TD
Couple 15X58 from CLIO RS 1 (JC5089) welded on the differential.
Reinforced box from Transconcept (ex Boulay)
    Reinforced circlips plate.
Modification on the box to keep 5 gt turbo speedo clock.
All used parts remplaced by new one (joints, synchro, bearings, etc...)

Dissasemblig the old and very dirty JC5002

    Verry dirty !!

    After a good cleaning

    Everything cleaned, ready for re-assembling

Original JB3 from GT turbo, with the hole for the speed sensor :

modified JC5 to fit the sensor :

    Reinforced box :

    Putting everything together

And i decided to weld the ring on the differential :

Finished Gearbox, ready to be fit !

Here the speed diagrams of my box :

This is the original JB3 on GT turbo
