I must confess.....I have not ordered mine yet as i gave mine a good scrub and they came up pretty well.....Now i'm in two minds whether to order but i really like the look of the black ones and it gives that o.e look......I'm torn between choices i may just order the black ones to have for spares as the price is sooooooo good.....This is what it looked like after that scrub

I was wandering what your reasons were for not using a thermostat, out of curiosity more than anything
To tell the honest truth I have always removed the thermostats during the summer months on all my other 5's anyway....I think with this one I couldn't find the stat when I was fitting the samco's but all the same doesn't seem to have ever given me any trouble.....More alarmingly as you now have me thinking is this a bad thing????Ok, that was too blunt...

Certainly. Otherwise the thermostat wouldn't be there in the first place!
The above statement would also go for a lot of things I have seen under an very good few members bonnets

Your coolant isn't supposed to be too cold, because you risk cracking the cylinder head (due to differences in temperatures on a hot engine with cold water pumping round) and running without a thermostat does keep the coolant quite cold.
In that case I will take a extra long rummage around later and get it refitted as the symptoms you have described sound painfulFair point, but I think most people would agree the thermostat is a keeper

just to note yes i meant Asi, only i used samco by habbit as its almost a universal word now days for silicon hosing , sorry for any confusion.

I finaly got around to fitting my hoses. They're not all on yet as I've got the carb and manifolds off but I took a piccy so you can see they do fit
Although I had to trim about an inch off the bottom rad hose as it was too long and kinked up, but measure and trial fit your's befor you start chopping them down.
My hoses arrived today in orange! took one week so very impressed, I can get some pics up for people if they want to see but I assume they are the same as the other hoses bar the colour.

i received mine boost hoses in the same box as the rest
recieved my 2 boost hoses today, funny enough, when i got home from work they were there. Gota say , they are not as good as the others and seem a little thin where the weave is actually showing through the silicon. Will do the job though i think
ive been looking at the coolant set of 3 hoses.
by this fella cant afford the whole 15 hoses so just want the 3 coolant 1s for now costing 65£

Received my boost hoses yesterday - once again, very happy with them. Certainly cannot complain when they cost so little in comparison to Samco's.
be good if he could supply the telephone/airfilter hoses
I finally finished my car today and filled the coolant up. The bleed nipples were pretty lose and leaked at first so you might need to tighten them up before you fit your's.
Received my 15 hoses + 2 boost hoses today and have to say i'm pleased with the quality. Unfortunately i'm going to be away with work for the whole month so won't be able to fit them until April
I'll report back when i'm done.

well am not impressed by these hoses at all.
fitted the top 2 coolant 1s with the bleed nipples.
even with brand new jubales and as tight as they would go water.
still managed to get past its becasue ive noticed.
they aint a snug fit i mean its like putting ur finger in a bucket the diasmater is all wrong.
so am gona email him see what he says.
its a pain cos i really need the top 1
