anyone know a thing or 2 about them as have one outside my house thats tapping its titties off..
sound is a strong tapping, goes from idle as smooths out a little as the rev come to 3k or so, but never fully leaves.. on driving its still slow to pull away but goes well, on the a4 pulled hard to 100+ no issues and after an hour of that + b roads its still running..
had a steth on it, at the pump it was ok, working your way back it gets louder till you get near the head/injectors where you can really tell your getting close.. its around that area im sure the fault will be, hydraulic tappits etc.. its had some wyyans lifter cleaner in there but that did feck all, i didn't hold much hope for it but was kinda wishing it would help pinpoint our issue..

i'll pull it apart tomorrow..
forgot to add this bad boys on 248,000 miles, i feel its such a beast it needs saving..
