Unfortunately wont be done for summer, needs a small bit of welding and a full respray. Jonny's sorted out the front bumper and skirts. If I could get welding done then that'd be a big problem sorted. Problem is I can't weld!

Turbines will be refurbished at a later date as they need 45 profile tyres

Well nice weather today, and some nice work done on the 5. Replacement door fitted by Jonny5 - top lad and huge thanks for sorting this

Also Jonny brought over my refurbished battery tray and bb tuning lobster.

Progress is good and its nice to see the 5 straight again.

Also ran the 5 up for first time in a few months and she sounded sweet!

I met Roger nearly 10 years ago when he owned this car in the local Shell station, very nice old chap. I used to really like this car back then and I'm glad someone bought this car on here and is using it as a resto project. Well done.

Glad you enjoyed the pizza Jonny!

Adam has the car always been standard? As there was a lot of info on aftermarket parts in the receipts folder?

Its a good 5 (in supposeably the rarest colour) and will be fully restored with a nice helping hand from Jonny5 and Thundercat! - Top lads!

Will have to have a look at it, just opened it when it arrived for a photo. It seems no different to for sale pics of it on here.

I bought them like that, but had to do centre caps to match the rest as they were still painted. Really pleased how they came out.

Too late mate, I exchanged them with Paul for a mint refurbished set of turbines.

They will look better on Paul's mint 5 than my "work in progress one"

Hi Jonny, tyre size is 165 50 15, the wheel width of 6.5J allows a bit of stretch but not too much.

A little more part progress in the end of 2013

Cant decide weather to go 100% OE or OE+

Anyway at moment have parts to go either ways.

As mentioned before exchanged my polished turbines for a refurbished set with tyres.

Bought OE leads and fan belt - plus managed to get hold of very good condition doorcards.

    Under bonnet lining also purchased.

Plus managed to get hold of a really good condition bosal centre section - hopefully I have a matching bosal backbox on its way.

    Pics for anyone interested

You should do what you want to do at the end of the day, oe is ok but once you've seen one it gets a bit mundane. I think Johnny5 has the best of both worlds. Obviously these are just my thoughts nice car though.

Bit of progress from last weekend when we had a little nice weather.

Started engine strip down and started cleaning engine brackets ready to zinc plate them later in the year.

Also ordered another load of parts off Mike! Excellent as always!
