    Engine Loom

    I have had my 5 turbo to bits recently and I took my engine loom out to give it a good clean during the rebuild.

    I thought it would be a good idea to take a pic whilst its out and see if we can label all the connections.

    I must admit, without it being in the engine i can name a few but not all..lol....so help would be handy



    1 - Connector to rest of loom (connector of death!)
    2 -
    3 - Radiator fan
    4 - Alternator connections
    5 -
    6 -
    7 -
    8 -
    9 -
    10-
    11-
    12-
    13-
    14-
    15-
    16-

    Just by looking I cannot be 100% on the others.......so if you know any, fill it in against the number above.

    Once done it may be worth popping in the articles section maybe?

    5 - perc fan
    6 - relay
    7 - rad fan power
    8 - front block earth
    9 - perc fan buttom of carb
    10- perc fan sensor
    11- bulk head resistor I think???
    12- bulk head resistor I think???
    13- perc fan solenoid
    14- oil pressure not sure which way from picture
    15- oil level not sure which way from picture
    16- reverse light switch

    Cheers Mike Impressively quick reply.

    I have had a little mooch about on here and I have a list of all the connections on that loom etc and it seems your spot on..as ever

    Perhaps a mod could pop this in the articles section if they think its useful?

    Can any one ID the colour of the wires against each number? My loom is in bits with most of it missing.
