    Carb top bolts

    I've noticed that some of you guys have a thread and a nut holding your carb top down whereas I have torque bolts, why is this?. I have got a cheap eBay carb top and cud do with it having a thread and nut to hold it down as its not perfectly made lol, any help wud be great?

    A picture tells a thousand words Andy.

    But i'm guessing you're just missing the threaded studs & nuts & someone's replaced them with Bolts??

    Just get yourself some threaded studs off Mike Phase 1 16V and then change them over.

    As long as the carb top is held on, you're fine.

    m6 thread rings a bell for the 3 x carb plenum stud's / bolts

    Alternative solution - Get a 90deg' silicon pipe and jubilee clip that onto the carb inlet, thus doing away with the elbow in the process.

    QED. I use a Mikalor Clamp though - stronger!

    If it starts to blow off at mega boost you can make a small adaptor for the carb top in 10 mins flat if you have access to a welder.
