Looks like one of scoff's creations has made it into that thread and obviously an inspiration for the guy.

That is some skill and craft there, fair play to him for doing it.

Now for the controversal comment , does anyone recon he's gone alittle OTT on it as in completely space-framing the entire car? Is it really needed?
Not knocking the mans work at all, he's done well there

sheer class Amazing project could only dream of building something like that.
Agree with you mark that maybe the whole thing didnt need to be space frame'd but it depends what he wants to do with it, if it shaves valuable time off laps all for it

It's from MC Racing in France, they supply to a lot of the Tarmac Rally guys running in the F2000-14 class (I think it's like a MAXI class that allows wide track and more engine mods).

We all know that our beloved GTTs are made from papier mache and tin foil but do we know what area in particular benefits from reinforcement? Maybe the floor is a weak spot and if you are going to the effort of making all these custom suspension parts, then might as well stiffen up the chassis to take full advantage of them?

Or it could be because he just wants to different?

Those who can read French might be able to pull the reason from the text?

Awesome!! its a shame it weren't front engined rwd though, with a proper designed chassis it could have been superb.

Yeah thats very good point mate, these cars aren't the strongest on the planet and with no one doing anything like this there's no way of seeing the difference. Think it poss take someone like him to see if its all worth it.

As say fair play to him, class work there just be a shame if its all done with no difference

Awesome, reminds me of a mini clubman I used to have with a spaceframe chassis. 2l pinto engine up front and chevette rear axle, my mum was kind enough to 'scrap' it for me while I was away off the coast of Africa ><

    cheers mum

thats awesome, if it doesn't save any weight it'll help beat rusty panels alone

wish i had the talent to do that to mine, would make it nice and easy to work on
